The properties of the vata are: dry, light, cold, windy, delicate, itchy.

Astanga-Hridaja I.11-12

Characteristics of the vata body type:

External Features:: either very tall or very short, not muscular, thin, bony limbs, and heavily nerved hands. Their manner of speech is fast, their steps are short. Their skin is dry, thin, shades of brown,
usually cold limbs.

Their hair is sparse, easy to cure, their face is oblong or square with short, undeveloped chin. Their neck is thin and their ribs are hooked, long or short and narrow, their eyes small, narrow, usually brown or gray, their mouths are thin, narrow. Their teeth are proclivous or irregular. Their speech is quick, sometimes incomprehensible.

Intenal Features: creative, enthusiastic, great desire for freedom, generous, happy and great vitality. Their mind is restless, their memory capacity is less. They try to avoid disputes and conflicts. They
quickly learn and forget fast. Materiality is far from them, we can not call them sparers. They have great imagination, they are very active in sexual terms, they are anxious and shy, sleeping superficially, usually 4-7 hours.

Excessive vata signs:

  1. Physical symptoms: dryness, roughness, stiffness of the body, stinging pain, loose joints, ficam, fragile organs, tremor, numbness of the limbs, cold feeling, weakness, constipation, pain, discolored, unclear skin, matt teeth, nails, taste sensation disorientation, abnormal taste in the mouth, weight loss, bloating, insomnia, depression.

  2. Mental symptoms: worry, concentration disorders, confusion, overwhelmed mind, impatience, shortterm attention or depression.

  3. Behavioral signs: insomnia, tiredness, inability to relax, restlessness, loss of appetite, lobes.

It is important to note that any dosha is able to induce any symptoms. All that is said is the symptoms listed above are characterised by tip out vata. The Vata is in the bowel. If it gets worse, it affects the bowel, especially the colon. When the bulk (mala) reaches the intestines, the Vata worsens, primarily as an undigested food and intestinal gas.

Low-level signs of vata:

When the level of the vata decreases, the physiological processes slow down, the internal organs become flabby and the functioning of the senses weakens. In case of lack of vata the human beingis characterized by: sobriety, sloth, mood, loss of interest in speech. The vata functions deteriorate, resulting in typical features of the Kapha, such as weak digestion and nausea.

ATTENTION! In our body type we have all three prakriti in specified quantity and quality.
